Eligibility for Scholarship Grant
To qualify for the Ryu Family Foundation (RFF) Seol-Bong scholarship grant ranging from $2,000.00 to $3,000.00, an applicant/student must meet the following 1, 2, and 3 conditions
. A Korean-American (US citizen) or a Korean (with or without the permanent resident status), is currently enrolled as a full-time student working for a degree, such as, BA, BS, MA, MS, MBA, JD, MD, DDS, Ph.D., etc, at a legally approved college or university located in any one of the following 12 northeastern states of the United States: Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
A student with a 3.5 grade point average or above.
A student in need of financial assistance and has demonstrated an excellency in his/her field of study or has contributed greatly to the well being of the society.
Note: : Former RFF scholarship grant recipients are encouraged to reapply.
You must attend the award ceremony to receive the scholarship. The ceremony will be held on December 21, 2019 from 1PM till 5:30PM. It is no longer allowed for someone else to accept the award on your behalf.
It is the policy of the Ryu Family Foundation that our scholarship grant is granted to be used for the tuition and fees that a student owes to his/her college/university. The scholarship grant is not to be used to cover a student's personal expenses. For these reasons, the RFF Foundation’s grant check will be issued to jointly to the grant's recipient and his/her school.
All papers/documents submitted in support of his/her application will NOT be returned. No one, except for the official members of the foundation, will be allowed to review these papers or documents.
The decision of the Foundation on the grant is final and not subject to any appeal or reconsideration.
